Celandine
The Celandine is a wild British flower occurring in early spring, belonging to the buttercup family. Like the swallow, it arrives to announce the awakening of spring. A fresh, green, light floral fragrance with a hint of wild mint.
Blackberry & Brambles
Pagan beliefs and Celtic traditions often considered the blackberry bush sacred, favouring fairies who inhabited the thickets. Offering the first berries of the season to the spirits ensured the rest remained good to eat. A delicate berry fragrance with light floral notes topped with accents of blackberry, cassis, mandarin and fresh green leaf.
Winter Moss
Woodland mosses have been used for centuries in traditional medicine, particularly for their antiseptic, antibacterial and absorbent properties. Often an indicator of a British Temperate Rainforest. A woody fragrance with fresh green stems, sweet grass and warm clove with a heart of moss and creamy sandalwood.
Wild Plum
The Wild Plum Trees are deeply embedded in folklore as protective, boundary-marking plants. The Plum would provide remedies for digestive issues, skin ailments and respiratory problems in many older cultures. A light plum fragrance with hints of floral and earthy vetiver.
Mistletoe
Mistletoe was hung in homes to ward off evil spirits, bring good luck and offer protection. It has a fresh woody smell with top notes of pine, middle notes of earthy patchouli and fresh conifer with a woody base of moss and creamy sandalwood.
Elder Flower
Planting elder near a house was considered protection against witches, evil spirits and lightning. It was used to alleviate symptoms of colds, flu and sinusitis. A delicate floral heart with a subtle, clean musk base, with notes of ripe berries, zesty lemon and bergamot.
